Frequently Asked Questions

What is direct primary care?

Direct primary care (DPC) is a healthcare model where patients pay a monthly fee directly to their primary care physician for comprehensive medical services, bypassing insurance involvement.

Do you take insurance?

We prioritize personalized care and don't rely on insurance billing. Insurance is advised for services beyond our scope, and we're happy to explore options during a Meet & Greet. Direct primary care practices can seamlessly complement various health plans, improving overall patient care.

What if I'm hospitalized?

Our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model provides personalized care in our office but does not cover hospital stays or specialist services. If you're hospitalized, we can help coordinate your care and support follow-up needs. For comprehensive coverage, including hospital and specialist services, we offer a healthshare option that pairs well with DPC to assist with catastrophic events.

Is there a long-term commitment?

No. We value long-term relationships with our patients but understand the importance of finding the right fit. Our subscription is month-to-month with no long-term commitment. We do ask for a 14-day notice if you decide to cancel.

Is it hard to get an appointment?

No! We guarantee same-day or next-day appointments during the week. You can have the peace of mind that you'll be seen when you need it.

Is this concierge medicine?

No, not exactly.  Concierge practices offer greater access and a higher level of service than the traditional office. In exchange, they have high membership prices, tie you into long term contracts, and sometimes bill your insurance for visits. Our practice model is called direct primary care and offers exceptional primary care at a fraction of the cost and without long term contracts or double-dipping (membership plus insurance billing). One flat monthly membership fee covers all in-person and virtual visits.

What if I have insurance? What if I don't?

Although we do encourage everyone to have some coverage for catastrophic events, as long as you pay the monthly subscription fee you can join our practice.  We are not an insurance program/company. We see everyone regardless of insurance status.
